story in a facial expression

I chose this picture because the facial expression on the girls face. It really speaks out in a way not only because of the color but because of the way everything is positioned. The background is blurred out, so that makes it look a bit more on the softer side. If the background was sharper, it wouldnt look as sad as it does now. Immediately the viewer is drawn to the girls eyes, her eyes say, " hope, faith, fear, worry, dependance on a person." Also the way her mouth is slightly open, just gives it more feel, and also makes it more dramatic. This picture shows a story of a girl who is lost, and looking towards her future, and what is to become of it.

Taking part in this photography fundraiser was fun. i took part in helping make props. i painted and cut out props and gave new ideas for new props. what was most succesfull about the fundraiser was the amount of people that volunteered to help out. also the amount of advertising that was around the school. the posters that were put up were great. although we could have had more posters put up where alot of people would see them. we should next time put posters everywhere and with more bright colors. we should make more announcements over the intercom. for the next fundraiser we should do something for either st. patricks day or for easter. if we do something for easter we should have someone dress up as a buuny and take pictures. for props we should have ducks, and bunny ears, and maybe some easter eggs, as if it were an easter egg hunt. i learned more about working with photoshop. i sorta kinda understand it more now. :)

i think the photo shot was good, but it could have gone better. for the next fundraiser we should do something for easter, maybe someone can dress up as an easter bunny, i thnk that would be cute and funyy.

So the pictures i captured were to show the things people don't really realize that are around school. some of them people may have seen already but they haven't looked at it in an artistic way. My pictures just show the amazing and un-noticed things around school. The school is actually very beautiful if you take the time to look at it.
